We purchased this golf course in April 2007 from
Ronald Webber.  He designed and built this beautiful
golf course out of the National Manistee National
Forest in 1985. It was owned and run by his family
until 2007.

Both Lee and I grew up in the Ovid-Elsie Michigan
area.  This course was discovered by Lee when he was steel head fishing.  It was a big decision but, after some ups and downs, we were able to purchase this course.  We left the decision in God’s hands, so it must have been meant to be!! 

The course is run by Lee and his son Jeremiah. I visit on weekends because I still work as a medical coding specialist in Lansing, MI. We have four children, three grand children, and many sisters and brothers who all encouraged and helped us with this life altering decision. 

Fawn Crest Golf Course is a beautiful, peaceful, and serene 9 hole, 33 par golf course. It is surrounded by the beauty of oak and maple trees; it is nature at its best.  

We are very family orientated and we invite you to come and spend quality time with your family and friends, and enjoy the wonders of nature within the Manistee National Forest.

We have had great support from the local community and the vacationers. People are pleased that we are here and want to see us stay and grow.  That is a very good feeling. 

We have built a temporary club house just north of the previous site.  We have added a sand trap on the right side of hole number 5 which makes it more of a challenge since the pond is close by.  As our business grows, we hope to add other changes to compliment the character of this beautiful course.
